EXQUISITE FUTURES

Book Launch / 19.12.2020 / 4-6pm GMT / Zoom

Exquisite Futures is a limited edition publication featuring the work of twenty visual artists based across the world. The book was conceived in the spring of 2020 as an immediate response to the pandemic and the changing modes of art making. The selected individuals have imagined through the use of collage and photomontage the awaiting futures of our lives and the photographic world. The 41 images in the unbound book are accompanied with an essay by Aliki Braine. The printed matter has been facilitated by Revolv Collective, designed by Victoria Kieffer and printed by Folium Publishing.

Exquisite futures includes the work of Memet Ali Zeren, Danielle Andrews, Jessy Boon Cowler, Camille Carbonaro, Lia Dostlieva, Wojciech Fec, Max Ferguson, Hannah Fletcher, Lea Hobson, Victoria Kieffer, Ethan Lo, Anna Luk, Silvia Maietta, Micaela Mau, Zuzana Pustaiová, Sally Souraya, Thomas Stockley, Liz Tollemache, Sally Trivett and Chiara Zandona.

About:

Revolv Collective was founded in 2017 by the artists Krasimira Butseva and Lina Ivanova in the South of England, and later on it was joined by Ibrahim Azab, Lucas Gabellini-Fava, Victoria Louise Doyle, Alexander Mourant and Laura Bivolaru. The collective was established around the idea of collaboration and collective practices within the field of visual arts, with a focal point in developing innovative ways of teaching and creating photography. Through open calls, exhibitions, lectures, discussions, workshops and publications, we have been supporting photography students and emerging photographers both nationally and internationally. Simultaneously, we have been working towards bridging the gap between early-career and established practitioners - by inviting renowned artists to participate in the collective’s events and printed matters.
