THE INTERDISCIPLINARY DARKROOM
THE INTERDISCIPLINARY DARKROOM
Calling artists, students, recent graduates, researchers and enthusiasts engaged with photographic materiality…
Revolv Collective is excited to announce The Interdisciplinary Darkroom, a programme of five expanded analogue photography workshops, designed and facilitated by Laura Bivolaru, Victoria Doyle, Alexander Mourant and Lina Ivanova.
The Interdisciplinary Darkroom is a celebration of our love and infatuation with the expanded field of analogue photography. Experimenting with a range of darkroom processes, the workshops will revitalise and combine traditional analogue techniques with a variety of mediums, such as performance, writing, drawing and sculpture, whilst developing thinking and skills around curation and archival practices.
This programme aims to support practitioners from a range of backgrounds and experiences to further their knowledge, skills and technical abilities with analogue photography. Each workshop is aimed at a specific level of prior darkroom experience and includes group discussions, practical and theoretical exercises, and individual technical support.
With thanks to RSCF funding, there is one bursary available per workshop, which will fully cover a participant’s workshop fees. For further details, please head over to our opportunities page, we look forward to hearing from you.
The Interdisciplinary Darkroom is supported by an Analogue Photography Grant from The Richard and Siobhán Coward Foundation, and by kind support from Graveney School, London. If you have any questions, please contact: revolvcollective@gmail.com
